About

SBI runs its Clerk (Junior Associate) applications on the same portal as IBPS, with the same four uploads and sizes. The difference is the wording of the handwritten declaration, which adds your date of birth and a line confirming the signature, photograph and thumb impression are yours.

Worked example: a signature signed with a thick pen and photographed on a phone is cropped close and saved at 140 × 60 px; at that size it usually lands around 12–16 KB inside the 10–20 KB range. The left thumb impression, pressed on white paper with a stamp pad, becomes 240 × 240 px at 200 DPI and about 35 KB.

FAQ

Is the SBI declaration the same as IBPS?+
The sizes are the same, but SBI’s text adds "Date of Birth" and "The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine". Copy the wording from your notice exactly.
Does SBI PO use the same sizes?+
It is the same portal and very likely the same sizes, but this page was checked against the Clerk notice only. Confirm on the PO notice before you submit.
Which thumb should I use?+
The left thumb. If that is not possible, the notice explains the alternatives.
Is my photo sent to a server?+
The tool is designed to run in your browser: the photo is cropped, compressed and saved on your device, and the page does not need an account. Close the tab and the in-memory copy is gone.
